How to Increase and Maximize Your Amazon Kindle Sales

The first and most important step in Kindle marketing is to create well-written, high-quality books. This is essential to keeping those sales coming because the books will be what’s getting your readers to like you and trust you. And trust is a huge part of the buying process.

After your free promo, reach out to the authors in your niche that are getting steady sales. Ask if they have any tips that helped them with their success. There’s no denying the fact social proof works. Getting a recommendation from a well-known, successful author will help your sales.
Step 1: Enhance Your Book Description
The most important step to take in increasing book sales is to create a great description. You can spend the time to research and build an amazing description for your book that talks to the audience. You can also spend the money to hire a professional to do this for you. You can also risk it by writing it yourself.

Step 2: Use the Right Keywords to Describe Your Book
Now that you know the best books for the niche market you’re targeting, you need to choose the best keywords in your book.
Write a list of the keywords that will describe your book. Make sure that other writers in the same niche are not already using the same keywords.
If they are, you’ll have a more difficult time getting your book to rank because you’re competing with books that already have an advantage because they’re using the same keywords. Look for an alternate keyword that’s not being used.
After you’ve chosen your keywords, enter them into the search box on Amazon and find out what your competitors are writing about.
You can also simply search the same keywords in Google. Depending on your niche, the results may vary, but it’s good to have a general idea of what other people are writing about in your niche.
Keep in mind, the more keywords you use, the more content you’ll have to write about to use them.
Some keywords may be able to describe what you’re writing about; others may require you to create new content from scratch to incorporate the keyword.
Step 3: Get as Many 5-star Reviews for Your Book as Possible
Reviews are extremely important for drawing in new customers and increasing sales. But that also means that it’s entirely possible for reviews to affect the sales of your competitors.
You can go to Amazon and look at the biggest selling books in your niche. First, read the reviews. Even though you can’t do anything about the ones from people who have already bought the book, you can do something about future reviews. Find out the books that have a lot of 5-star reviews, write down those books and authors, and see what you can learn from them.
If you notice that those authors are continually releasing new books one after the other, that’s a hint. They’re writing new books rapidly to keep up their momentum.
You’re going to want to plan for one, even two books a year with the intention of leaving your competition in the dust when it comes to book count.
However, that’s assuming you were able to get a publisher and were able to get a big publishing deal. For the average person, that’s just not going to happen. Thus, you’ll want to do this on your own by finding a unique topic in your niche that some readers will be eager to purchase and by starting a publishing company to do it.
Step 4: Create an Amazon Bestseller Campaign
Once your book is live, it cannot be promoted for free. Amazon has a promotion policy that is very strict and they evaluate your book on the requirements of the program that you want to promote.
Typically, the program that you want to promote your book under, will require a higher number of reviews, likes, and even a minimum of an average 4 star rating.
If you are able to hit your sales goal, Amazon will consider running the promotion on your book for FREE. You are able to run this promotion for 90 days consecutively. This means that you will be able to get your book to the top of various Amazon rankings for free for 90 days. Not only that, during this time, your book can also receive thousands of downloads. And, this can even lead to a movie deal, if you can write a very good screenplay.
Step 5: Be an Amazon Associate
There are two ways you can boost your sales on Amazon and maximize your profit.
First, you can be an Amazon Associate, which basically means that for every product you purchase through your affiliate link, you’ll get a small percentage of the sale.
Click this link to enroll in Amazon Associates. You’ll have to sign up with your email address. Then click Join Associates.
Once you’ve signed up, just go to your Bookshelf and choose the book that you want to be listed under. Under the Weblink heading, click the “Associate” link. Amazon will provide you with a code to add to your book’s description (we have that code for you!). Here’s what that link looks like:
Second, you can include Amazon affiliate links in an email that you direct people to click on after they have purchased your e-book.
